Welcome to Molyo (HAR GADGET KA SAHI MOL). Molyo is operated by Molyo (“Molyo”, “we”, “us” or “our”), located at Kohinoor City, Kurla West, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India 400070. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use molyo.in (the “Website”) or our services, why we collect it, how we protect it, and what choices you have. By using the Website or booking a pickup, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect We collect only what we need to buy your device and pay you safely.

  • Contact details: your name, mobile number, email address, pickup address, city and pincode.
  • Device details: the model, variant, condition answers, IMEI or serial number, and photos if you share them.
  • Identity and verification: a copy or details of a valid government photo ID, and a signed declaration of ownership, collected at pickup.
  • Payment details: your UPI ID or bank account details (account holder name, account number and IFSC) so that we can pay you. We do not collect card details.
  • Communication records: messages, WhatsApp chats, emails and call notes when you contact us.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and cookies, collected automatically when you browse the Website.

2. How we use your information

  • To give you a price, book and complete your pickup, and pay you.
  • To verify your identity and confirm you own the device, and to prevent fraud and the purchase of stolen goods.
  • To contact you about your booking by call, SMS, WhatsApp or email.
  • To answer questions and complaints and to improve our service and Website.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
  • To send you offers or updates only if you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.

3. Consent We process your personal information based on your consent, which you give when you submit a form, book a pickup or contact us, and where the law allows us to process it for lawful purposes such as legal compliance. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer complete a booking or provide our service to you.

4. Who we share information with We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed:

  • Service providers who help us run the business, such as pickup and logistics partners, payment and banking partners, SMS, WhatsApp and email providers, and website hosting and analytics providers. They may use your data only to provide services to us.
  • Authorities and law enforcement, when required by law, court order or a valid legal request, or to report a suspected stolen or fraudulent device.
  • A buyer or successor, if our business is sold, merged or restructured. In that case, this Policy will continue to protect your data.

5. Data on your device When you sell us a device, please back up your data and sign out of your accounts before handing it over. We factory reset devices we buy to remove your data. We do not intentionally access, copy or use personal content on your device. We are not responsible for data you leave on a device.

6. How long we keep your information We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, and as required by law. Transaction, tax and ID records are generally kept for 8 years to meet accounting and legal requirements. Other information is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

7. Security We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls and secure storage. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your own devices and accounts safe.

8. Cookies The Website uses cookies and similar tools to make it work, remember your choices, and understand how visitors use it. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Website works.

9. Your rights Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may have the right to:

12. Changes to this Policy We may update this Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the updated date. Continued use of the Website after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
